Copyright 1998 -- Robert Baer Jr. A poem - "Missing You" Missing You I remember many years ago When our love was fresh and new When we meant "I do" forever When your heart toward me was true I can't help thinking of the times When we'd hold hands and reminisce When we were the best of lovers A warm embrace, a tender kiss You were there when I needed you I was there when you needed me Now you're living with another You said you wanted to be "free" Four walls and an empty apartment Match the emptiness deep within Can't shake off this woeful feeling I'm still paying for your act of sin Will I ever feel good again? The pain inside me comes and goes There is little I can do about it Standing by while my loneliness grows There's no return to the better times When I'd come home to a loving wife I fear those days are gone forever It's my problem for the rest of my life Written and Submitted by Robert Baer Jr The Computer Dinosaur
